3. UPSC Mains Paper-I: Essay
- This paper expects candidates to write essays on
various themes. According to the present structure,
the Essay Paper is divided into two portions,
each with several themes. The candidate is
asked to produce essays on two different themes,
one from each part.
The UPSC requires essays to be presented
as an effective representation of ideas
pertinent to the topic, with an ordered arrangement.
